This morning I was having a staff meeting to review
my numbers for the month in all of my businesses
inside of my Martial Arts Business and what I saw next
made me say ” How On Earth Are We Only
At $16,500 On The Month In Our Cash Out
Business?”

The reason why will amaze you…..

Do you look at your martial arts business as having
different businesses within it?

Well this morning I was looking and in one of the
departments the Cash Outs were only at
$16,500 for the month and today is the 13th!

Something is wrong I said, so I asked around and
the upgrade to cash out leads were ZERO! After
some investigation I found out that my credit card
that I was using for my offline mailing system had
expired and my automated mailings for my upgrade
system wasn’t being sent out.

Just so happens that my cell phone is broken and the
company had been trying to reach me for 2 weeks
to let me know.  Imagine if I didn’t have a meeting
to find this out.

Some people laugh when I say you can do an extra
$100K a month just from the cash out side of your
business.  Even if you can’t do it from one business,
just imaging only getting an extra $20K per month
from 5 of your internal businesses. (Look below for
examples)

Anyway, you should be on a daily process to
improve your profit centers in all of your
sub businesses.  People laugh at belt testing
fees, and I don’t do them for my BJJ program
but I do them for every other adult and kid program.

If a student upgrades they no longer have to
pay testing fees, only their belt fee(I know, I know-
it’s outlandish to charge belt fees).  Listen, my
fees are for the amazing classes that we teach.

I don’t tack on any extra money to include belts,
just for the sake of things in my bjj program I simply
purchase the belts with my own money and give
it to my students.  But not in the other programs.

Imagine if you have 5 sub businesses and each
month you have 20 members testing, if you charge
$45 per test that’s an extra $4500 per month. Would
you like an extra $4500 per month?

The best part is that the $45 testing fee goes away
when the member upgrades.  So that’s a built in
upgrade incentive.

How many businesses do you have in your business?

business meetings at your school.

For example today I have Dustin “Clean” Denes at
my gym training some of my guys, we’ve done 2
sessions today already, I’ve had 2 meetings, one with
my front desk workers and one with the staff for
a new program that I’m about to launch next week
to add another business to my mma school.

If you do a little micro management in your
business you can increase your income
by 20%-30% practically overnight.
